Asclepias perennis

Dainty butterfly weed with wispy stems to around 15" tall and 2' wide. Blooms continuously from May through October with clear white flowers on 1" wide clusters. Loves moist sites, even waterlogged or boggy, but tolerates garden conditions as well. Irresistible to bees and butterflies. Can be a host for Monarch caterpillars. Plant in full sun. Give consistent moisture and good drainage. Deer resistant. USDA zones 6-9 in cold hardiness.
