Ampleaster Carolinianus
Nearly evergreen flowering vine/sprawling shrub producing a profusion of 1" lavender daisy flowers later summer until the first killing frost. Plant in full sun. Give average to consistent moisture. This plant is moderately deer resistant. It is the host plant for the Pearl Crescent butterfly. Its flowers are attractive to bees and butterflies. Songbirds and small mammals eat the seeds. USDA zones 6-9b. Rare!
