Piedmont Iris Farm was birthed out of a two-fold vision: provide new, exciting, and proven perennials to the Carolinas while making a difference to those in dire need around us.

  • With a lifetime passion for helping the poor in the Third World, we feel a call and a responsibility to make the world a better place.  In choosing to become our valued customer, you will be partnering with us to that end.

  • We have provided material support to the Isaiah 1:11 ministry in Rock Hill.
  • We are currently linked with the general care of the poor in several places in Asia with the more specific goal of addressing child slavery and human trafficking in the name of Christ.

The Child Slaves of Pakistan

We in the West are mostly unaware of the plight of many Christians and other impoverished people groups in southern Asia. This article describes the unbelievable plight of one such young boy, Fraz. He is one of thousands who are enslaved by immoral and wicked people. His story is true. This article was written in order to secure monetary donations for a special Christmas blessing for this little boy and many of the others trapped in the same place. We are not attempting to solicit funds. By posting this article that was run through missionary channels last December, we are only hoping to make anyone who comes across this article aware of the cruel circumstances the Christian community finds itself in there. Pray for them. Weep for them. And intervene if God gives you the opportunity.

The Girls of Joy

Although officially the practice of forced temple prostitution has been outlawed in India, hundreds of thousands of young girls continue to be forced into a life of temple "service." Many of the girls are sold by their own families, usually between the ages of 6-8 years old. The going price for such a "sale"--$500. But there is hope. Pastor Joy (and there are others) has rescued 26 girls from their life of bondage. Now they love and serve Christ from a secret location. It must remain secret as many are hunting these girls who have "dishonored" the gods by leaving their position at the temples. They evangelize often and have led hundreds to Christ through the power of their testimony. They are learning new skills in order to provide for themselves in a dignified way. And they are walking out a life worth living, freed by the power of Christ. They are bold. They are courageous. They are the Girls of Joy!
