Pycnanthemum muticum

Hardy mint relative native to southern Appalachia with a strong minty fragrance. Summer bloom is born atop silvery bracts that are highly attractive to bees--a great pollen and nectar source. Plant in full sun to part sun. Give good drainage and average to ample water. Great in mixed perennial gardens and around wetter spots in the garden. Can be used in teas and as an herbal remedy. USDA zone 5 in cold hardiness.
