Gloxinia nematanthodes 'Evita'

Spectacular new perennial from Argentina found near the 4,000 foot elevation in the Andes. Winter deciduous and slow to wake up, but well worth the wait and the space in your garden. Produces numerous 1" hot red tubular flowers June-September on a spreading perennial to 15" tall and 3' wide or more. Plant in full sun to half sun. Give good drainage and average water. Easy to grow. Few pests. USDA zones 7b to 9b in cold hardiness. Rare!
