Deciduous flowering shrub to 5' tall and wide producing massive display of 4" rounded 2 toned pink flower clusters in late spring followed by intermittent rebloom--especially if the plant is dead headed. Red stems and red leaves give added interest. Plant in full sun (if well watered and never in a hot spot in the garden) to part shade. Give good drainage. Feed with all purpose fertilizer. Few pests. Prune to remove spent flowers in mid-summer. USDA zones 5-9 in cold hardiness.
