Miscanthus 'Purpurascens'

Clumping perennial flowering grass to 4' tall and silvery white flowers to 5' above the coppery/purple tinged arching blades. What sets this maiden grass apart is the purple foliage that colors far earlier than other varieties. Plant in full sun. Give good drainage and average water. Easy to grow. Deer resistant. USDA zones 4-9 in cold tolerance. Cut back to ground in late winter.
