Muhlenbergia capillaris 'White Cloud'

SE native evergreen grass growing in clumps to around 30" producing masses of soft, billowy white flower clusters in fall (typically September-November). Heavily used in the Carolinas, red muhly grass heralds the advent of true fall each year. Plant in full sun. Give good drainage and average water. Even though evergreen, it is best to trim the foliage down heavily in March to allow the next season's growth to be entirely clean. USDA zones 6-10 in cold hardiness.
