Passiflora x 'Incense'
Evergreen (deciduous in zones 7-8) flowering vine producing very showy 4" complex purple flowers with frill and pizzazz. Attractive to hummingbirds, and also to Fritillary Butterflies (their primary food). You will have caterpillars if you grow this vine, so just accept it. In cold areas it will freeze to the ground and come back from the roots faithfully every spring. Plant in full sun. Give average water and soil. Needs a fence or trellis to grow upon. USDA zones 6-11 in cold hardiness.
