Baptisia 'Summer Dress'
Deciduous flowering shrub with creamy yellow aging to sky blue flowers in extremely showy tall clusters to 3' nearly covering the plant in mid-spring. Attractive to butterflies. As an added bonus Baptisias fix nitrogen in the soil adding valuable natural fertilizer to plants around it. Plant in full sun. Give good drainage and average water. A native of the Carolinas. Cut back to ground after hard frost in the late fall. USDA zone 3 in cold hardiness.
