Punica granatum 'Parfyanka'
Deciduous flowering shrub producing large deep red traditional pomegranate fruit in late summer/fall. Soft seed variety. Taste test winner! Self Fertile. Somewhat compact, growing to around 6' tall and wide. Plant in full sun. Give good drainage and average water. Few pests. Deer resistant. Loves heat but tolerates cold. Best to throw a blanket over it the first few years if nights dip into the teens or single digits. USDA zones 6b-10 in cold hardiness. One of the new, more cold hardy selections.
