Punica 'Salavatski'

Deciduous flowering shrub producing extra large red/tan traditional pomegranate fruit in late summer/fall. Self Fertile. Grows to around 12' tall and wide. Plant in full sun. Give good drainage and average water. Few pests. Deer resistant. Loves heat but tolerates cold. Best to throw a blanket over it the first few years if nights dip into the teens or single digits. USDA zones 6b-11 in cold hardiness. One of the new, more cold hardy selections.
