Evergreen fruiting olive growing to around 20' or more over many years. Can live for centuries. Produces high quality olives on a self fruitful tree that is resistant to olive black spot disease. Considered to be the best olive variety for the South. The fruit is high quality and prized also for making a high quality olive oil. It is grown commercially in many places around the world, but originated in Spain. Plant in full sun. Give good drainage and average water. Drought tolerant once established. Few pests. USDA zones 7-9 in cold hardiness.
