Camellia x 'Egao Corkscrew'

Evergreen flowering shrub to around 6' tall or more and 6' wide producing a profusion of 3 1/2" baby pink peony shaped flowers in fall/winter. One of the most unusual varieties of "sun" Camellias on the market. The stems grow in a "corkscrew pattern!". Plant in full sun to part shade. Give good drainage and average water. Fertilize with slow release or cottonseed meal in March and again in late summer (1/2 as much). Prune to shape after bloom is finished but before the spring flush occurs (approximately March). Easy to grow. Watch for scale insects. USDA zones 7-10 in cold hardiness.
